Hi,

Been using animate for over a year now and experienced something very annoying just in time for my submission deadline...

Animate seemingly crashed but refuses to close. I can't kill it in task manager, I can't uninstall the program since its still open and restarting my computer, even with my settings set not to reopen programs upon rebooting, it just opens back up again. There is an empty pop up in the middle of my screen with no writing. I can click roughly where it usually says 'Okay' on the pop up but it just pops back up again after half a second. Any help would be hugely appreciated.

Thanks

Try holding down the Esc key for a while - like 30 seconds to a minute - to see if all the popups will disappear eventually.

Then close the program and reset your preferences.

hello George5C2A. are you on mac? if you are, if you have a master switch, turn the master off and should shutdown the computer without permission or having a error from adobe animate saying that it cant be closed. Once you did that, turn the switch on and it will turn on your computer again (if it shows black screen still, press the power on the back of the computer) and enter your password but if you dont have one thens thats fine and it should close all tabs and that will include adobe animate to close too. When your finish, you can now get back on adobe animate and it should function. If your on windows, pls be patchience as i go find ways to fix adobe animate crash on windows. Your welcome!
