Animate CC lags on 1440p monitor

I have dual monitors and when I switch the window to the 1080p monitor, it runs fine. It only lags on my 1440p monitor. Any reason why? Can this be fixed?

For example the timeline lags when I press enter.

Specs:

i7 4770k

GTX 1080

32GB ram DDR3
