i am getting a program crash with animate? have to close program and reopen it every time after testing ANYTHING? then it will work fine for 1 use then crash again? and have to restart program again?

does that happen with one file (*.fla) you are working on? Or does that happen with any file?

To begin with, can you try recreating preferences Re-create preferences​ and let us know if it helped?
