Animate doesnt work at all

I open adobe Animate to start doing some paid work and get " unknown error has occurred" and automatically shut down the program. how can I fix this? I've tried the previous version of the app as well as uninstalling and reinstalling but nothing is working.

what's your os including version

did you install the cc desktop app from here https://creativecloud.adobe.com/apps/all/desktop?action=install&source=apps&productId=creative-cloud and use it to install animate?
