I was not actively using my Adobe Animate at the time, but the program was still running in the background, when the entire program just shut down unexpectedly. I hadn't saved in a day, and when I tried to open the recovery file, all I got was an "error occured opening file" message. What should I do??

Sorry for the loss of your work, mate!

What should you do?

Learn to save incremental versions of your work every few hours.

Learn to back your files up every night to two external locations.

Learn to save every few minutes.

You can never trust a computer or a piece of software that it will not crash.
