Graidents / Opacity

A few years ago, I worked with Tour de Animate to produce a sample for Animate CC.

Back then Animate would act funny if you were to use an Illustrator design that had varying opacities and gradients.

Is this still the case?

I am working on an animation and if it can not be done in Animate CC then I will use After Effects.

One think I'm quite sure of is that in Animate you cannot change the angle of the gradient. Something that you can do in Illustrator. In Animate you can only have a 0% angle gradient (going from left to right). But you cannot turn the gradient to go for example from top left to bottom right. This is perhaps the reason why you get strange things when you import Illustrator file into Animate.
