HELP! Lots of small issues i can not fix

Ok, So im studying Creative iMedia and need to create an animation in animate but no idea what i am doing! I have made the animate (there are errors)  but the first thing i need to do is resize it - please tell me theres an easy way to do this by simply rescaling everything?

Please help, this is driving me crazy!

Scale Content should allow the content to resize along with the stage:

Thank you, thats worked. 

My next problem is i can not group 2 objects. I have a parcel and a stamp. I have read that you just need to selct both and group but this doesnt work. It only highlights one object and 'group' is unhighlighted. 

What do i need to do/change?

The Q key gives you the free transform tool and that should help. Make sure you hold shift when you use it so you keep your aspect ration.
