How do I use the camera feature in CC 19?

Hey, so the title of this thread says it all.

I was just going through my current animated project adding a few pans and zooms on my subjects when I saw that the camera tool was greyed out. In the last version (CC 18)this wasn't the case. I could click the camera icon on my timeline and it would open the interface allowing me to use the tool, now when I try this the camera icon is still there but it won't let me click on it.

I browsed through insert, file, view etc.. expecting to find a longer way to use the tool but I found nothing.

I also tried adding a new layer for it, unlocking my current layers and reloading the project.

How do I use the camera tool now? Any ideas?

In Animate CC 2019, camera should be enabled if Advanced Layers mode is ON (by default ON for new fla documents).

Go to menu Modify> Document...> Mode and turn ON Advanced Layers (if unchecked) and see if it helps in your case.

Please let us know if you still face any issue.

Also - what document type are you working with? ActionScript 3.0? HTML5 Canvas? Or something else?

I was in Action Script 3.0 and the problem was because advanced layers was turned off.
