I am really trying to create a button in adobe animate where when I push the button I create, it stays down untill I click onto another button.  Then that button would stay down untill the next button is clicked, so on and so forth..

I am more of a designer and not a coder, so any help would be much appreciate!!

That's called a radio button. If you don't feel like using the component radio buttons, you'll have to code this behavior from scratch.
