I cannot open my fla, "An error occured opening file"

So lately I spend alot of my time using Adobe, and for some reason, a project i have been working on for days cannot be opened, it shows the message "An error occured opening file". Can someone help me? Thanks!

Your file is dead, mate!

 

I can imagine that you worked on it on and on without having a backup.

I'm sorry for your loss.

 

If you're over 18, go out and buy a bottle of good scotch or bourbon to commemorate the event, to drown the sadness and to mark the day you have learnt a valuable lesson.

I got a bluescreen in the middle of the project i was working on, then when i tried to open both the recovery file and the regular file it gives me the "an error occured" message. am I in the same boat? isn't there anyone out there that fan fix a fla file? couln't i pay a computer programmer or something?
