Hi everyone!  I'm very new to Adobe Animate but I'm pretty familiar with their other products (After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop).  I'm putting together an animation just for fun and I need to make a change on one of the vector graphic files outside of Animate (using Illustrator).  In After Effects, you can use the "Reload Footage" command and AE will reload the source graphics including the most recent changes and reflect the change(s) and update the view in your AE project.  Is there a similiar function in Animate?  I would think so but not finding anything anywhere.  Any help would be much appreciated!

With bitmaps you have the option in their properties to Update from whatever file you originally loaded from. I wouldn't be surprised if this option didn't exist for Illustrator files because there is no original bitmap to update, just vector data that's been translated into native Animate data structures.

Hi! I know it's a super late answer, but I came here looking for the same. My solution was to change my file in Illustratior, and then import it to Animate again. Then Animate asks you if you want to replace the existing file. If you do, everything works as normal, just with the updated file.
