I'm having issues embedding OEM files from Animate CC  as animated compositions in Dreamweaver. I've tried both 2018 and 2019 versions. I haven't had a problem before.  I tried re-posting an older html 5 composition version that had worked previously and it no longer works. I believe the problem is either with the "OAM export" in Animate CC or the "embed animated composition" in Dreamweaver. Please help.

Example of both posted here:

Hi ichristman

First of all it is the OAM Package format, not OEM. Though you could be right, because Adobe Edge Overlay Format translates better to the acronym OEM, but that's usually reserved for Original Equipment Manufacturer. Well, enough of this academic point.

I reckon your problem comes from "the \"embed animated composition\" in Dreamweaver." Compare the 3 embedding codes from your example page:

New OAM embed as animated composition (3/27/2019):

<div class="embed-responsive embed-responsive-21by9">

    <object id="EdgeID3" type="text/html" data-dw-widget="Edge" data="animation_assets/POC-Cart-9by21-2/Assets/POC-Cart-9by21-2.html" width="820" height="363"></object>

</div>

Previous OAM embed as animated composition (9/12/2018):

<div class="embed-responsive embed-responsive-8by2">

    <object id="EdgeID" type="text/html" data-dw-widget="Edge" data="/animation_assets/POC-Cart-800x200/Assets/POC-Cart-800x200.html" width="820" height="220"></object>

</div>

Latest code:

<div class="embed-responsive embed-responsive-8by2">

    <object id="EdgeID" type="text/html" data-dw-widget="Edge" data="/animation_assets/POC-Cart-800x200N/Assets/POC-Cart-800x200N.html" width="820" height="220"></object>

</div>

The difference between the first campared to the next two embeds is the missing forward slash "/" in the data link: data="/animation_assets/..."

I hope this helps

Klaus

One addon:

You are using twice <object id="EdgeID" ...> and one time <object id="EdgeID3" ...>. You are aware of that an id should be unique in one document? This isn't causing your trouble but could cause some in a different context.

Thank you for your insight on this. I believe I am also having issues with server lag when posting, that I am working to correct.
