open your browser's developer console and look the the line number with the error, though if there's something really screwy like a missing/mismatched delimiter you'll see something generic about an AdobeAn error in your init() function in your html file.

That error message is coming from Animate itself, while publishing, not the browser.

does that error occur for all fla files including new ones?

if so, reset your preferences - https://helpx.adobe.com/animate/using/set-preferences.html

does that error occur when trying to open an as3 flash that you're trying to convert to canvas/html5?

if so, start eliminating layers (usually looking for unsupported, in canvas, features) until you find the culprit.  and make sure all the as3 is commented-out.
