Hello, It looks as if there is no Audio component for Animate (HTML5 output) similar to the Video component. Can anyone tell me the simplest approach for embedding audio so that it can be controlled similar to the HTML5 video component?
Update, I found this third party audio component. Thanks Joseph Labrecque...
Have not tried it yet, but looks promising.

Hi.
Unfortunately there isn't a sound component. You're gonna have to develop one using SoundJS or you can search for a third party solution.
Regards,
JC

What do you need an audio component for that you can't already do with timeline audio or CreateJS code? Is the cost of including the entire jQuery library and a bunch of other files required by components worth some theoretical minor convenience to the developer?
Playing a sound with code is trivial. Just import the sound into your library, give it a linkage name (double-click the Linkage column next to the sound in the library), then:
createjs.Sound.play("mySoundLinkageName");
