lost animation file

I've been working on an animation recently, and it's really important for me. The last time I worked on this was on 15.01.2021. the next day opened the file to keep working on it but it mysteriously disappeared/deleted. It's weeks worth of work and even the recovery file of the animation won't restore all the work. I tried to read ways to fix it but most of them are years ago and different versions of the software.

there's a difference between not finding your fla and finding a corrupt fla.

if you can't find your fla, use your os file browser and search for your fla.

the file on its own still exists but everything that was in it got deleted
