Movie Mask not playing on timeline?

Hi all.

I am trying to animate a line drawing on screen.

When I use the Mask method to animate 1 line it works.

I have made a Movie Clip which has an animation running on it.

When I move the movie clip back onto the timeline to mask the object.

The mask does not play?
What am I doing wrong? 

This should be realively easy to do. 

What am I missing?
I have attached a simple animation.

Hi.

HTML5 Canvas documents don't support multiframe symbols in masks.

Your options are to leave the mask animation in the same timeline that the masked object lives in or you're gonna have to change to an AS3 doument.

Thanks for that. I didnt know HTML5 Canvas did not support movie animations as masks.

I created a new AS3 document and it worked!

Good to know.

Luckinly I can convert this animation to an MP4 but not good if I need to create web banners in future.
