how to pause and resume app when clicking home button in AS3 ? please help!

you can use:

NativeApplication.nativeApplication.addEventListener(Event.DEACTIVATE, suspendF);
NativeApplication.nativeApplication.addEventListener(Event.ACTIVATE, unsuspendF);

you put whatever's needed for you app.  ie, it's not possible to know that answer without seeing your app or you describing what needs to be paused and resumed.
