Question about V-Cam/Flash. Also, can you transfer projects from Flash 8 to Adobe Animate CC?

V-cam doesn’t work for Macromedia Flash 8? I used Actionscript 2 and nothing. Am I doing something wrong?

My 2nd question. Is it possible to transfer my work into Adobe Animate CC?

Since they have a camera now

Also, I'm not sure if I included the link but that's where I got my help from.

Hi mate,

Just nest your animation inside a Graphic symbol and use that instead of a camera/V-cam.

An example how this is done can be downloaded from here:  http://flash-powertools.com/edapt-movie-template-free-download/

V-cams were never a very reliable option and so appears to be Animate's native camera tool, judging by the fact that in these forums there is at least one thread every day about it not working for one reason or another.

To your other question: Yes, you can open a Flash 8 FLA in Animate, but if you have any AS2 code it will have to be re-written.
