"Failed to write to directory"

Try to open Animate trial version, but it shows an error "Closing animate. Failed to write to directory (then the path where Animate is downloaded)". Why can it be?

is that where you intentionally installed animate???

did you use the cc desktop app to install animate?

Used Creative Cloud Desktop

and did you change the default installation directory (file>preferences>apps>install location)?

if not, where is animate cc 2021 installed?  (it should be in c>program files>adobe>adobe animate 2021.)

and why is that directory shown in the error message?

Didn't change the recommended path, it's on disk C in Programs. Tried to download to disk D too - same error, so no idea what's that

what do you mean you "tried to download...".  are you confusing "download" with "install"?

assuming you have animate in the default directory,

open it

start a project

save it to a desktop directory

any problem?
