Retina HiDPI Banners?

I'm hearing from a client that my adobe animate banner ads dont look good on a Retina display. I'm designing on Retina, and I don't see any issues.

However I need to clarify this.

My understanding is when you create an HTML5 file in Adobe Animate, Retina is handled automatically. Is this true? Am I missing a publish setting during export, do I need to add some Retina JS to my exported file?

Also one of the images was an illustration, so I imported a SVG, but it looks like that was converted to a .jpg after publish?

Cheers!

Even if I imported every image at 2x size, by default in Animate, images would be optimized upon publish so it will end up outputting each image at the size it is at on the stage. In the publish settings, under image settings, uncheck optimize image dimensions. This should allow it to output the image at the size you imported it at, not at the size it sits at in your banner allowing you to retain the images at 2x size.
