I am animating a scene in AS3pO and after 5 seconds. it freezes then lags behind.  I've tried fixes with no change.  Any assistance would help.  Can I do a quick test movie without SWF?

How big is the art your using to animate? IS the vector complicated? It's quite possibly too large for your processor to handle. Can you post an example of what's happing?

Hi braddsilas

Asymetrical is right with his questions:

  • How big is your art? (so i.e. what's the stage size? Does the animated object (movieclip?) extend the stage size by a large amount in the course of your animation?)
  • Is the vector complicated? (how fine drawn is your vector? In other words: how many anchor points and vectors have to be moved interdependently in your animation?)
  • It's quite possibly too large for your processor to handle. (tell us something about your hardware and os, Animate version, how much RAM is available, etc?)

There are too many potential factors involved which could freeze/lag the animation. Your best bet would be to share your problematic file via some cloud share service like CC, Google Drive, Dropbox etc.)
