Unexpected glitches in published animation: bits of text wandering about

Hello: I'm brand new to Animate, and unfamiliar with HTML5 and Javascript. (Clients needs an HTML 5 banner ad rush.)

I've created an animated banner ad which previews perfectly on my desktop but when I look at the published HTML file locally, elements of the animation appear where they shouldn't and then suddenly disappear. The animation is very simple, so I'm using Simple Tweens. As an example of a glitch: I've set one line of text to move down from the top of the banner to a position, and then fade away. However, in when I preview the published HTML file, that line of text appears early, drifts off in a motion I never set, and then disappears. It then reappears and moves correctly at the set time in the animation.

I've stepped through the animation frame-by-frame, and that glitch doesn't appear -- there are no stray layers with that text. I've also (I beleive) set the key frames and tweens correctly.

I've gone through the support boards and tutorials, and don't see anything that mentions how to addressthis. Any clues?

Thanks!

Hi mate,

My suggestion would be to get a book.

It really depends on what you indend to do with the program, but if it is more than just banners with sliding text and pictures, Chris Georgenes' "How to cheat in Flash" books will lay an excellent foundation. https://www.amazon.com/How-Cheat-Adobe-Flash-Animation/dp/0240525914

If your focus will be primarily on the html5/canvas you probably would benefit more from the newer version which is co-authored and should cover that as well: https://www.amazon.com/How-Cheat-Adobe-Animate-CC/dp/1498797385/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=how+to+cheat+in+adobe+animate&qid=1568586825&s=digital-text&sr=1-1-catcorr

Figured it out! There were some objects labeled "tween" in my Library. I must have created them when I had difficulty creating simple tweens -- two lines of text were not recongized as Symbols and I had to reconvert them. Since the tween objects didn't show up on the timeline, I didn't realize they'd be read in the animation. Once I deleted them, the animation ran perfectly.

On another note, does anyone have a good resource to recomment for Animate? The video tutorial are helpful to get started but don't cover this sort of detail.

Thanks!

Here are some tutorials that may help you get going also: https://helpx.adobe.com/animate/tutorials.html

Hope this helps!
