I have a series of training videos in SWF format that were created in Adobe Captivate.  The source files are no longer available.  Is there a way to convert these videos to a usable format using Animate?

you would need to decompile the swf to a fla.   check sothink's decompiler.

SWF isn't a video format, so I assume you mean SWF animations. If they don't contain any interactivity, you can convert them to MP4s. There are numerous solutions available for this. Just Google "convert SWF to video".

First SWF to video application to try should be Swivel: https://www.newgrounds.com/wiki/creator-resources/flash-resources/swivel?path=/wiki/creator-resource...

Thanks!  This one came the closet to working.  When I load the video up in Swivel it only sees 41 frames.  I end up with only the first 30s of video (and audio).  If I try the manual start and stop option, I get the video but not the audio.

I tried some on the free online converters and all I get is a short, blank, video clip that makes a loud popping sound.

Any thoughts?

I've tried this.  All I get is static and the video controls (but not the video).
