Where are the blend modes like 'multiply' and 'overlay' in Animate - HTML5?

Aren't they css effects that are common for web?

I only see Normal and Add.

CSS is irrelevant to Animate HTML5 documents, because it uses a single canvas element for all output. Animate only allows use of the canvas blend modes that are implemented in all supported browsers.

Canvas blend modes are supported in 90% of the browsers according to this link.

Upon publishing, I think Animate should send that message in the Output window.  "Canvas blend modes are not supported in these browsers: Opera mini, Blackberry, IE, etc" 

Let it be the user's choice, I say. 

I'm missing out on animating some really great backgrounds due to the lack of blend modes.
