Steps to reproduce:
While editing a multitrack session, suddenly playback stopped. Counter counts down, playhead moves and meters move erratically, but no sound.. Restart of app failed to clear.
Playback from all apps (Media Player, etc.) has also crashed.
Restarting machine will probably fix.
