AUDITION NEVER USED TO BE THIS SLOW IN MULTITRACK!

Please tell me I'm doing something wrong.

I have been working professionally with Audition for around 10 years.

I am used to having multiple tracks with multiple VST's activated with multiple bus tracks.

I HAVE NEVER HAD A LAG PROBLEM. I used to work on an even slower system and zero issues. It's always been fast for me.

Recently I am working on an animation and using Audition for the animatic sound. Everything is fine UNTIL I literally used one bus and slapped on only two instances of Fab Filter Q and C.

This happens whenever I use Bus tracks or use more than one VST on a track.. even when I pre-render tracks.

It lags up the whole project.

My system:

64gb ddr5 6000 corsair vengeance mem

intel I7 14700

RTX 4070 Super

5tb of HDD space all samsung evo SSD

RME Babyface pro USB Interface

Is there something up with the New version of Auition? Is there a problem with the i7 14th gen ?

I have issues with ZERO other programmes. Please sort me a fix for this.. I'm being paid to work here.

I have no particular wisdom to offer beyond the usual, but just in case you haven't tried all these things:

reset prefs, clear caches, and try installing the latest beta in case that helps.

And, obviously, if the issue is confined to Fab Filter plugins, contact them. But, if you see this with other plugins when Fab Filter plugins are not present in the session, it's _probably_ not Fab Filter's fault.

Same issue.
Audition started doing this a bit more than a week ago without apparent cause. On both Audition 2024 and 2025.

Before I had zero issues. Sessions that worked fine before (even on older slower computer) now cause issues. Audition is unusable at the moment. Please help, this is my livelyhood.

Processor 13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-13700HX 2.10 GHz
Installed RAM 32,0 GB (31,7 GB usable)
System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
Edition Windows 11 Home
Version 24H2

In MME or WASAPI both.

I tried disabling and enabling external VST's, updating drivers, clear media cache, and all the usual stuff. No problem in other programs.
