Hi All, I recorded a voice over and upon play back it sounds choppy, like talking into a fan or a Darlek from Doctor Who. Please see the below screenshot for the waveform and attached .wav file. It peaks and attentuates at a regular a rate (perhaps something to do with sample rate/clock?) I have recorded hundreds of Voice overs before with this setup, including the the day before this happened - I have changed nothing apart from turned everything off and returned in the morning - something appears to have changed randomly. Any help to return to normal would be appreciated.
Some useful info:
MacBook Pro (15-inch, Mid 2012)
Processor 2.7 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7
Memory 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
Graphics Intel HD Graphics 4000 1536 MB
Adobe Audition 22.3.0.60
Mic - AKG C414
Interface UA Apollo Twin Duo
- This issue also occurs when removing the above mic/interface and recording directly via the in-built mic on my laptop.
- It does NOT occur when recording onto other audio capture, for example Audacity
- Yesterday the problem appeared to have been fixed, when recording directly onto laptop via in-built mic, out of desperation I clicked "Attempt To Force Hardware To Document Sample Rate", under Preferences > Audio Hardware. However, upon returning this morning this now makes no difference whether the box is clicked or not, but lines up with my idea that this is related to sample rate.
- It appears to be an issues in Adobe Audition at the point of audio capture/processing.
As you may be able to tell form my langauge, I am not any sort of expert, so if you need any additional information, please let me know (and the more specifc the better so I can follow along:) )
Thank you so much for anything thoughs.
