Im a sound designer and my editor has been using audio effects in premiere an then once we go to adobe audition, some of the effects have errors opening up? Do you know why this could be?
And my 2nd question is am I able to edit his audio effects (EQ, compression, reverb etc...) in Audition? There is a star icon indicating clip has effects but where is the tab to adjust his settings, or bypass?

I may be wrong but I think that Audition's audio effects are completely different from those in Premiere. So you won't be able to adjust already applied Premiere effects within Audition AFAIAA.

I believe you mean how to access the (Clip) Effects Rack? To edit the Audio Effect settings you need to select the clip and open up the "Effects Rack" panel. On the Panel select "Track Effects" or "Clip Effects", you should see a list of all effects applied to it. At the bottom is a button to powe off (bypass) the effects.
Double ckick the Effect entry to bring up the Effect UI.
