Adobe Audition CC 2015

New Here ,

I imported an audio file with some female vocals in it to Adobe Audition. Then i analyzed this file's pitch and recorded  my own voice in Melodyne. I raised pitch to the same level as in the audio file and then imported it to Audition. I opened frequency analysis for audio file and clicked scan selection to get average frequencie levels. To me it seemed strange that all the frequencies were below -40 db. Then i clicked on different spots on audio file and it was same, altough frequencies varied they never got to positive range. But nevertheless i wrote down all the frequencies and their amplitudes and opened 30-band EQ for my recording and applied these amplitudes for frequencies. But then when i played my recording it was complete silence. Altough the frequency analysis was quite similar to the audio file.

Can anyone tell what did i do wrong? Or why amplitudes are so low? Sorry for my bad English. English is not my mother language.

Thanks in advance
