Adobe Audition CC 2017 Fatal error

New Here ,
Jan 28, 2017 Jan 28, 2017

So far I've had no problems using Adobe Audition for many years.

But today I got the message 'Fatal Error Audition cannot access the documents folder''

Nothing changed on my MacBook Pro (Early 2015) with MacOS Sierra (10.12.2)

I have removed all preferences as suggested, restarted, re-installed the programme but nothing helped.

How can I start Audition again?

Hans

From the FAQs:

Audition Crashed. Now what?

If you send the error log files to the bugs link one of the developers may be able to ascertain where Audition is having trouble accessing your Documents folder.

Thanks, but it crashes without creating log files (or I cannot find them...) Audition just doesn't start and gives a Fatal error:

Hmmmm....If Audition isn't actually crashing (no log file) I have to wonder if there may be either a hard disk problem looming or a funny in your OS.

...and, at that point, I have to leave this for somebody who knows Apple...unlike this Windows user here.
