Hi!
I'm unable to open any .ogg files in Adobe Audition 2017. I get the following error:
I'm aware that it's a problem with AmioLSF but I don't know how to update this or use another plugin.
Let me know if you require any further information. Thanks.
All I can say is that if you are still using Audition CC2017 you must have an Adobe Creative Cloud subscription. In which case you should update to the latest version of CC2018 which might cure your problem. Bugs won't be ironed out of earlier versions of Audition so you should really be running the latest before logging a Bug, if it still exists.
However if there are known problems with AmioLSF then the only people who might be able to help are the Audition developers. You would probably need to

.ogg files should be fully supported in the latest version of Audition. What happens if you try to open one into CC 2018 on your system? I've just downloaded an .ogg file from the internet and Audition CC 2018 opened and played it OK here on my PC.

Perhaps try other .ogg files to see if they will open in Audition. It maybe that there is something different about how that one is encoded. You could use MediaInfo to interrogate the file to find out more about it and post the results here so that we can see how the file was encoded.
Try this one https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/4/43/Katy_Perry_-_I_Kissed_a_Girl.ogg and see if that opens OK in Audition. It certainly does here.

There are metadata faults in your .ogg file. For a start, the bit rate appears to be zero...
Basically, ogg works fine, but that file doesn't.

Hi @SteveG_AudioMasters_ and @christopherr32426680
I'm having a similar problem. Any chance you can take a look at my ogg file metadata and let me know if there's anything I can do to make these files readable by Audition?
My client is comfortable sending voicenotes via WhatsApp and I want to keep things simple for her, but I get this Code 18 error that libsndfile doesn't support such file every time I try to load the voicenote ogg files for conversion. My transcription AI doesn't accept ogg, so that's whey I'm hoping to convert them.
Using the latest version of Adobe Audition on Macbook Pro Ventura 13.6.4
Grateful for any advice.
