Bonjour,

Je débute sur Audition pour monter des épisodes de podcast, malheureusement je trouve les S et les P trop présent sur une voix, en sachant qu'elle est déjà aigue. Peut-on atténuer cet effet parce que c'est vraiment désagréable à l'écoute ?

Merci beaucoup 🙂

Sibilance (S) and Popping (P) are different problems and need to be treated differently. For the P sounds, one effective way to reduce them is to highlight each one, and use the Auto Heal tool in Favorites on it - also reducing the bass response with the parametric equaliser can help. You have to bear in mind that they aren't a sound as such, but a blast of air from your mouth disrupting the microphone's diaphragm, which is why reducing the bass helps a lot.

Sibilance can often be reduced by using the Parametric EQ set so that it produces a -12dB dip at 5kHz, but that's only an approximation; as with all of these problems (and the plosives) you need to fine-tune the settings to suit your specific circumstances. To be more specific, we'd need a short example to look at (a wav file, not an MP3).
