Hey guys, first time seeking help here.
I've been having this annoying issue with a specific recording that just wont play in any way in the multitrack session. I've tried converting it to mp3, wave, cutting parts of it all, but to no avail. I have linked here a video that will clear things up. Sorry for bad audio and bad english, I haven't practiced for a while hopefully you guys will help me out!!

That means I tried playing that same problematic file in a different multitrack session, but it still didn't work.

Yes, I tried, and it didn't work, initially.
No worries, though! I got it to work, somehow. All I did was literally the same thing I'd done before: I created a new multitrack session and the f

Well for starters, it's not possible to put an MP3 into multi-track or Waveform view as an MP3 - it has to be decoded to a wav before you can use it at all - that's the way Audition works. Now, there's a large exclamation mark in a triangle in the corner of it - if you hover the mouse over it, what does it say? What it generally means is that you've deleted part of the file you're trying to play in Waveform view - which would certainly explain why it won't play.
My suggestion is to open the file in Waveform view - which will decode it; it has to, as I said. Get rid of any previous instances of it in your multi-track session (remove the file from the session, and get rid of the clip outlines too, so nothing is set to be offline). When it's all gone, try placing the freshly opened track, as it stands, from the files menu straight into your session and see if it plays then. If it doesn't, then open a fresh session and place it in that and see if it plays. If it does in the new session, then your original session file is corrupted, I suspect.

Hey Steve, thanks for the support! I forgot to mention but I've already done pretty much all of theses things I also suspected that my session project was corrupted (it happened before and it's always such a pain LOL), and I have already tried playing that file in a new/different multitrack sesh, but it really didn't do anything. As I show in the video, there are other versions of the same clip as .wav files, and they won't play either. Anyway, I've reopened the software and the error triangle icon isn't there anymore, so I can't tell you what it was. The file does play as waveform, but won't make any sound in the multitrack session view. I'll try a new session again, but I'm not sure it'll work.

The other thing I didn't mention was the mixer. Have a look in there and make sure that a) the fader isn't pulled down, and b) that the channel is being sent to the Master track. If it's got routed somewhere else, you won't hear it.

Hi steve, thanks for replying again! Unfortunately the mixer is fine ( ). The fader is not pulled down and the channel was being sent to the 'Drums' track, which was being sent to the master track. Anyway, I changed it from drums to Master but nothing really changed. I really have no clue of what's going on

Yes, that was a part of my original attempt at diagnosis, and we don't appear to have received anything other than an extremely ambiguous answer to that.
"...and I have already tried playing that file in a new/different multitrack sesh, but it really didn't do anything."
What exactly does that mean?
