Audition Average Vrms Calculate

Hi Adobe Support Team,

I have some questions regarding the calculation of Average Vrms.

I have used the same speech audio file and noticed that the results from the older version of Audition differ from those of the newest version.

Could you please explain the method you use to calculate the Average Vrms?

If you get an explanation, it will be a first. In all the time I've been doing this (well over 20 years, back before Adobe took over Cool Edit and turned it into Audition), nobody from the development team has ever offered an algorithm for anything. At all. They regard this information as proprietary, and will keep it that way. Also, the devs don't often visit the U2U forums, so they won't see this anyway, I'm afraid.

But as I said, even if they did, they wouldn't divulge.
