I purchased a license for Audiiton CC for my nephew as a holiday gift. He was able to download the application, but every time he attempt to launch the program it crashes. There are no error messages. His computer is brand new and meets the minimum system requirements. Any suggestions?

What operating system does his computer run? Did he install Audition from the Adobe Creative Cloud desktop app? Audition may have saved some error logs which would help with the diagnosis. See the FAQ Audition Crashed. Now what? for what to do. otherwise try a re-install perhaps.

I'm having the same issue as the OP.
I am using Windows 10 and have not had a problem previously. Today every time I have opened Audition it will open completely and then immediately shut down with no error message. After a couple tries I checked my CC app and saw there was an update, but the same thing keeps happening. I uninstalled the update and reinstalled the 11.1.1 versioni with the same result. I then uninstalled that version and tried version 10.1.2, but no luck.
I am really upset because I am out of town and have a voice over audition to submit, but cannot edit it in Audition. I am using Ocenaudio, which is a fine program for recording, but editing in it is terrible. I may not be able to even sumbit my audition and that could mean I lose income because of this.

It has been 6 hours and about 25 tries, but I finally have Audition staying open.
I had to make sure each file in the path has permissions and turned off my firewall and virus scanner. The app itself would not save the new permissions until the 3rd time I tried it.
I found a post from October with that advice. It's really terrible that this bug is still in the app. I certainly hope there will be a fix soon

There isn't a bug. If you have a computer that's effectively locked down, then almost any modern app will fail to install correctly on it without at least some warnings, and the situation where some anti-virus software can prevent an installation is common knowledge. Indeed, if Audition could easily override all of that protection then a) the protection would be effectively useless and b), your computer would probably get attacked by all and sundry.
And I think you'll find that the 'won't save permissions' issue is a part of this. It's quite common for a protected system to revert to previous stored values upon a reboot, and it sounds like that's what is happening here.
Bottom line is that you can't have it both ways, I'm afraid...

Audition will have saved error logs as it opened which would shed light on what was causing the problem. The FAQ advice above about sending the logs to the developers for diagnosis.
However I doubt that it is actually a bug in Audition since you have tried various versions and you say that you hadn't had any problems previously. Also there would be a lot more post from other users if it was a common problem. So I am afraId that it is something in your particular Win 10 set up that may have changed due to a Windows update

He's running Windows 10 and using the Creative Cloud desktop app. We tried running in compatibility mode, installing older versions of Audition, etc. Nothing was successful. I plan to connect him with tech support, but any additional suggestions are welcome.
Thanks!

Hopefully, if you let them have remote access to it, they'll be able to find out what is wrong with his computer.
