Audition changes selection length when applying favorite effect?

Sometimes Audition will move my start time forward, eg: original selection 01;10 to 01:30.... gets changed to 01:12 to 01:30, then applies my effect.

Scenario:

I record a voice over that can last a few minutes. If during the recording I stumble, I just say "take 2" and continue.

I open the recording in Audition, highlight the "good" parts to apply a favorite effect, then save selection as.

Problem is, sometimes Audition will correctly apply the effect to my selection, and sometimes if moves the start time.

Both cases happen in a single voice recording, and it seems random.

Hi INTYME1985,

I am sorry for the issue. What is the version of Adobe Audition? If you are using CC version, we have a new update for Adobe Audition, CC 2017.1. Please update to latest version & check if the issue persists.
