Audition CS5.5 Slider delay issue

New Here ,

Hi guys,

I've had a persistent and annoying problem with FX plug-in sliders being delayed (such as Mastering or De-esser) in Audition 5.5. It bugged me all the time before I uninstalled and reinstalled the program and it's still here after re-installation. When I move a slider it just doesn't respond immediately, and I have to click on the top of the FX plug-in window to have a slider instantly relocating to a different position. Obviously, I cannot normally apply effects as I never have control over parameters. hope someone could advise me of possible solutions to this problem.

Cheers,

D

Usually delays issue is du to asio latency, you need to check your sound card setting (buffer size, latency) and also the audio resolution of your Audition project (48 KHz? ).

Depending on your computer (RAM and CPU) it can be difficult to work with projects with high resolution, in this case the problem might be the CPU...so try to optimize your computer, and to exit all unused applications when you are using Audition..

Thank you for your reply, Nahnou.

My issue is not really audio latency (that seems to be ok), but a slider movement latency, where sliders do not react to mouse movements immediately as they should. strangely enough, that only happens when I use FX in separate pop-ups. Could it be because of the buffer size as well?
