I have a WMV video track and its playing back real choppy.
I have about seven tracks of audio (not heavy FX on them) and my video track is the top track. It starts out playing OK, then after 30 seconds or so, really gets choopy and starts to miss chunks frames.
I played back the same video in Windows Media Player, its fine. I have a multitrack project open in Reaper on the same machine with the same video, its fine.
This seems to happen in Win10 more,... in Win7 the same project with CS6 seems to be OK.
Any ideas?

Update: I am having some success with Pre-Render activated.
This is still puzzling me though. I know Win10 have madde some changes to their WMV handling and natively, some WMVs are playing choppy (noteably those from Photostory and Movie Maker), but CS6 on Win7 seems to do a lot better.

It is probably down to the audio interface and the audio drivers your Win 10 machine is using. Also buffer size settings may have some effect on this. Does the video have problems playing back in an Audition Multitrack session if it is opened alone with it's own audio and no other tracks? What audio interface are you using and what Device Class do you have selected in Audition's Audio Hardware preferences page? You could try increasing the I/O Buffer size in there as well. What is it set to at the moment?
