Audition deletes unused clips when you close the session

I'm having problems with a project where I've selected a few sound effects, and when I close the session, the unused ones are deleted, so I have to import them again.
Can someone help me by explaining how I can configure Audition to not delete unused clips?

Edit>Preferences>Multitrack and put a check in the box 'Reference all open audio and video files when saving sessions'.
