Audition has detected a problem with the current audio hardware settings

New Here ,

I recently updated 11.0.0.199 and now when I import a new track a box pops up that says

'Audition has detected a problem with the current audio hardware settings'

I then click on 'Audio Hardware' and it jumps over to the Audio Hardware menu, and then I can x out and everything works fine.

But how can I avoid having to do that every time?

Audition will only do that if it thinks that there is a problem with the settings for your audio interface hardware. This would normally only happen if your operating system has changed some of the audio driver settings since you last imported a file into Audition. What audio hardware, drivers and OS are you using?

You can always try ticking the little box at the bottom left of the error message pane 'Don't show again' and see if Audition carries on OK anyway. if there is actually a problem then you will find that the audio won't paly anyway and still have to go to the Audio Hardware preferences to get it to work again. This shouldn't happen with a decent audio interface particularly if it uses manufacturer supplied ASIO drivers. You can also try ticking the 'Attempt to force hardware to document settings' in the Audio hardware preferences.
