Audition: Mute track and still listen

I want to make a recording in Audition via Session Link. Record and everything works, the only problem is that the speaker is delayed hearing himself unless I mute the track I record with, but then I don't hear the person anymore. Is there a function how I can mute the track but still hear them?

It's latency, and with any round trip in and out of a computer it's inevitable - it's the time it takes to process the signals and you can't defeat it. The only way you can have zero latency monitoring is to do it directly from the sound device being used (assuming it has a headphone socket) and not involve the computer at all.
