Audition not applying Fabfilter Pro Q3 AU effects

Up to now, no issues but today Audition refuses to apply and Fabfilter EQ to a file, whether I select Entire or selection only? Have I switched something inadvertently?

So I'm replying to my own post as I have resolved the issue temporarily with a sideways manoeuvre, Fabfilter told me that the problem is Adobe's end in that AU versions of FF Q3 don't work in Audition, so I simply deactivated it in the plugin manager and the VST3 version does the job just fine.

THANK YOU!!!! I've been fighting this issue for days now with my exports sounding super whack and the levels not responding correctly. I never would have thought to try the plugin VST3 version instead of the AU in my troubleshooting.

I finally went into the waveform editor to see what was happening when I applied all the same plugins and NOTHING was changing. Tried an adobe native plugin and the waveform immediately changed. Maybe I should have started with the waveform editor, but I just kept making changes in the multitrack and exporting sections to see how they responded with no success.

So, THANK YOU for helping me resolve this issue when I got nothing but crap crickets from Adobe support.

It's not Adobe's fault that people don't read the app's specification. Audition has never supported AU effects, and probably never will, becaue they are Mac-only, and Audition is dual-platform.

What was somewhat confusing about your first post is that you led us to believe that FabFilter had actually worked on your system, which, if you only had the AU version installed, couldn't possibly be the case. And not indicating whether this was on a Mac or a PC didn't give any clues as to what might be happening either.

I'm using a Mac and everything I said is absolute fact, so I would politely request [abuse removed by moderator]

If you are correct, that's fine - but there is no need for rudeness.
