audition not recognise audio

I've been recording audio using a focusrite (scarlet solo 3rd gen) and up until today I have had no problems. However now whenever I'm trying to record something I am getting no sound at all even though the microphone input on my focusrite seems to be fine. Any ideas what the issue could be?

Check your audio hardware settings in Edit>Preferences. If that's okay, then we need a bit more information about exactly how you're trying to record. Does the transport move?
