Audition reports an unspecified error when trying to burn a CD

I have a cdlx file that I created some years ago (in 2021). When I click on it Audition opens and displays the normal configuration that I expect. So I loaded a blank CD into the drive and click the Burn Audio to CD button. Audition immediately generates an error message without saying what is wrong. I have burned 100s of CD in the past, so I picked a random cdlx file from a disc that I have burned in the past, and I have the same problem. I'll say it again ... I have burned a disc from the cdlx file in the past but it won't work today. Since I created all those cdlx files, I have built a new computer (in 2022), and the cdlx file of interest was created in August of 2021. Yes, it's old, but shouldn't it still work? Audition loads it and displays it correctly. Any help would be appreciated very much.

Which version of Audition?  The latest, 25.2.0.123 has an acknowledged bug which prevents CD burning.  We have been told it will be fixed in the next release.

However, if you download and install the latest Beta the fix has already been included there.

In the Creative Cloud desktop app go to the Apps tab, "Beta" is listed across the top menu bar of that screen (immediately to the right of "All Apps").
