Hey all,
I'm fairly new to using Audition, and I've noticed that when I'm recording an audio channel, videos in my web browsers (like YouTube or Twitch) stop playing. When I un-check the record box in audition and refresh the webpage the video begins playing normally again. Does anyone else know of this or how to fix it/stop it from happening? It seems very strange to me.
Thanks in advance!

It's far from strange; it's sensible behaviour, even though it's not such a problem as it was. When you start a recording in Audition, it has been arranged that this gets priority over pretty much everything else. The idea is that anything that could potentially interrupt your recording gets stopped, as much to make sure that the disk writes are continuous as anything. Generally

Generally what happens if you want to record streaming media is that you have to start it again after you've hit record.

Ah, That makes quite a bit of sense. I can't seem to get the videos started again though. Once I hit record then the vidoes just continually buffer. Could it possibly be because I'm also trying to export a video in AME and I've just run out of harware resources?

It could indeed. I think that you'll have to experiment a bit to see what the most you can get away with actually is - it can vary, according to a lot of things...

It's working fine now, I guess my workstation just couldn't handle doing so many things at once. Thanks for your help!
