I tried to record an audio but the current time indicator just moved unsmoothly and didn't record anything. Watch the attached video

We really can't tell a thing from this. You haven't told us anything about the machine you are running on, not even if it is a Mac or a PC. Nor do you say what version of the software you are running, or what audio hardware you are using. Without even the basics, we are clueless.
