In Audition... when playing back mix, regardless of where I start to playback, about 2:20 minutes in white noise swells up on Left audio track, and stays on until I pause or stop song. Pressing play again... the white noise comes back around 2:20 minutes. I have listened to this mix once with no noise, several times with it only at the end of the 40 minutes mix, and now I'm getting the noise everytime. See quick video for example... Thanks!

If it happens in random places, then it's not being caused by Audition - the error would remain fixed and always occur at the same point. Whenever I've come across issues like this before, it's been down to the computer's audio driver needing updating. That said, I've not heard of it happening on a Mac before, but it's certainly where I'd start looking...

I apologize for the long delay. The issue persists. As far as the "audio driver" potentially being the issue, the static will appear in the final mixdown as well, even though it's not part of the recording. As mentioned in my first post, the static plays after 2+ minutes regardless of where I start the song.
So again... when I'm exporting the song for the final mixdown, it's all internal. There is no sound being played. So I would assume the audio driver isn't even being used. Not sure : (.
