Audition won't open .asx files

Audition won't open audio files referenced in .asx (playlist) files, although the format is included in the Open options.

Anyone know why? (I can open the audio files separately.)

My guess is that it isn't a valid asx file or may be damaged or just not a version of asx that Audition caters for

I tried with various .asx files that I created myself. Same result. Maybe this option has been removed, as it's not actually an audio file. If that's the case though, strange that it's still listed.
