Hi everyone,

sorry for that question, if it seems primitive for you but I am completely new to this field and I just use AA 3.0.

I need to analyze parts of my sample and check it for the average volume (dB) over a timespan of about 5 seconds. Is that possible somehow?

Thank you very much in advance!

Regards,

Anna

Hightlight the five seconds, go to Window>Amplitude Statistics and there's an average RMS power figure given. It's meaningless, as are any of these figures; they are all referenced to 0dB, so if you alter the level of the sample, the figure will change.
