Balance won't work

Hello,

I don't know what to do. My balance isn't working anymore. It doesn't matter if it's a mono or stereo audio file: If I turn the knob to R100, the clip just gets quieter instead of just playing on the right. On the left it's just normal volume. I tried it with a stereo track, with a mono track, with mono to stereo conversion, different headphones, all the same. What have I adjusted or am I doing wrong?

Thanks,

Piero

Is this reflected in the meters? Very low level on the right, normal level on the left?

That was a good tip. Everything is right (or left, sorry :)) in the meters - but not in my headphones.

I tried it on the speakers that are normally off and it worked there too. It's weird that I didn't notice.
But I recently tried a 4-channel headphone amplifier and this little thing is the problem, everything comes out mono... even though it's connected with a stereo cable. Thanks for the troubleshooting!
